The Hydraulic Press Channel has only been a small part of our lives for a short time, but yet it has already brought so much happiness. The act of needlessly destroying random objects is a simple joy, and yet one that is wholly satisfying, and one that keeps getting better. Because the latest video from the godfather of the “who-drolic press” may have just served up his pièce de résistance: crushing a motorcycle helmet with a watermelon.
Yes, yes, he also crushed a running, four-stroke motor and a piston (though I’m fairly certain it is not very safe to crush an internal combustion engine while it’s running), but the absolute highlight here, and maybe of this entire silly YouTube account, is when he crushed the helmet holding a googly-eyed watermelon.
At first all you can see and hear is the cracking of the plastic from the helmet, but when the press finally broke through and started squishing the fruit, which had nowhere to go, that’s when the real fireworks started. The watermelon started squirting up from under the helmet like you’d imagine this would work in a gory horror movie.
They got “melon brain” everywhere.
The watermelon didn’t just come out liquefied, it came out looking like actual brain matter that had been blown to bits. He has crushed fruit before, but containing it in the helmet made it about a million times more fun to watch.
