Watch Two New Action-Packed ROGUE ONE Clips

Rogue One is now less than a week away, and it’s amazing how much the folks at Lucasfilm have kept a lid on quite a lot of it so far. (Is Darth Vader just a cameo, or does he have a sizable part? It’s kind of crazy that we still don’t know, right?) But with the movie about to premiere, the director and cast have started to make the talk show rounds in an effort to promote it, and with that comes the inevitable clips from the movie, giving us more of a sense of what to expect from the first Star Wars standalone film.

Director Gareth Edwards, along with cast members Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen and Ben Mendelsohn were on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, and they brought two new clips from the movie with them. The first clip, (via Entertainment Weekly) comes after Kimmel chats with his guests for a bit, and is a scene of Alan Tudyk’s reprogrammed Imperial droid K-2S0 helping rescue Felicity Jones’ character Jyn Erso from a prison transport. You can watch it below at the 3:18 mark.

The second clip sees K-2S0 making the attempt to fly the Rebel Alliance’s Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), and Baze Malbus (Wen Jiang) over some stormy, rocky planet. Judging from these two clips, as well as some others we’ve seen already, I think it’s clear that Tudyk’s character K-2So is going to steal the entire movie, and I’m bummed that the character isn’t scheduled to show up in any further films, because he’s already my favorite. You can watch the second clip down below:

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released in theaters everywhere on Dec. 16.

Do these clips have you even more psyched for Rogue One than you already were? Let us know down below in the comments!
