Watch the Trailer for HIDDEN AMERICA, Jonah Ray’s New Parody Travel Show

“I’ve always lusted for life and travel. I obsessed over the tales of Huckleberry Finn, and his friend…uh, Jim. My name is Jonah Ray, and I want you to see this country through all of my eyes.”

Get ready to experience a world you didn’t even know existed alongside Jonah Ray on his travel show Hidden America. Over the course of nine episodes, he will travel to Boston, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta, and Austin, all to “discover a new side” of this great nation. One where you can’t get a good shot in front of the Golden Gate Bridge because people keep jumping off of it.

While the places are very real, this new show is actually a fictional parody of the types of travel shows you’ve seen many times before, starring people like Anthony Bourdain. Joining Ray on his various stops across the country will be comedians Dave Koechner, Randall Park, Weird Al Yankovic, and The Birthday Boys‘ Mike Mitchell.

This is the latest original series from Seeso, NBC’s new comedy streaming service, and it continues their skewering of reality programming. Their series Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, a semi-scripted comedy about a “luxury, cut-throat Los Angeles real estate firm,” already takes on the horrible, pretentious world of high end home sellers.

Hidden America With Jonah Ray premieres on June 2, and you can subscribe to Seeso for $3.99 a month. Amazon Prime members can actually subscribe directly, so they can stream the network through any device you can currently use for Amazon Video.

And you should subscribe, because while others may have traveled down this path before, with Jonah Ray as our guide “America’s never been citier.”
