Watch the Trailer for Disney Infinity’s STAR WARS: RISE AGAINST THE EMPIRE

Disney Infinity is about to take a rebellious turn. We learned last month that the game would add characters from the galaxy far, far away this fall as part of the Disney Infinity 3.0 release. The combination of Star Wars and Disney Infinity basically means I’ll be broke and also have no free time. I’m OK with this–especially now that I’ve seen the trailer for Star Wars: Rise Against the Empire. Revealed at E3, the trailer shows off the second play set available in the line and I want to play right now.

The Rise Against the Empire set takes place during the original trilogy. Fight in the Battle of Hoth, take down the Death Star, and fly in the Millennium Falcon with Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewbacca. You can also face Boba Fett. Yep, Boba Fett. The fan favorite bounty hunter will be available as a playable character exclusively on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4–you can see pictures of him in action in the below gallery. PlayStation owners will also have the opportunity to get the Rise Against the Empire play set with Luke and Leia a month before it hits shelves.

The Disney Infinity style is so appealing that I hope they eventually release the spaceships as part of sets too. Even if I didn’t play the game, I’d happily fork over money to cover my shelves with Infinity versions of the Falcon, TIE fighters, and X-wings.

Are you excited about the addition of Boba Fett? Excited enough to purchase a PlayStation 3 or 4 if you don’t already have one? Let me know in the comments.
