Remember last month when we were at San Diego Comic-Con covering the hotly anticipated Game of Thrones panel? And remember when we remarked upon the nuisiance-y manner of the book reader fans in attendance? Well now you can judge the whole thing for yourself, because the whole, entire panel is up on the Internets now. And you can watch it! Right here!
Moderated by Craig Ferguson, the hour-long panel shows the entirety of what went down on the Hall H stage. As we’ve previously mentioned, Ferguson spent very little time volleying questions to the cast and crew on hand (including A Song of Ice and Fire novelist George R.R. Martin, John Bradley/Samwell Tarley, Rose Leslie/Ygritte, Kit Harington/Jon Snow, Sophie Turner/Sansa Stark, Natalie Dormer/Margaery Tyrell, Maisie Williams/Arya Stark, Rory McCann/The Hound, Gwendoline Christie/Brienne of Tarth, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau/Jaime Lannister, Pedro Pascal/Oberyn Martell, and creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss), leaving plenty of time for a bevy of fan questions, running the gamut from “Should we not watch the series until you’ve finished the books moving forward?” to “Are we going to see [insert missing character from the books here]?”, even after the moderating Ferguson asked fans not to do so much of that.
But now that the whole panel is up and viewable for all, you no longer have to do that whole “just take our word for it” thing, and instead see for yourself.
So â what do you think the fan annoyance about the book and television show deviations? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, because, y’know, winter is coming and everything’s changing and oh god oh god Jon Snow better live oh PLEASE?
