Watch the Romantic Trailer for NBC’s A TO Z

NBC has announced a handful of new series for next fall, and the line-up includes A to Z. The romantic comedy features Ben Feldman (Mad Men) and Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother) as Andrew and Zelda. Get it? Andrew and Zelda are the stars of A to Z. They should just call it A to Z: I See What You Did There. Anyway, viewers will watch Andrew and Zelda’s relationship unfold from the day they meet as they navigate the tangles of true love and destiny. NBC has already released the first trailer for the show, and charming is the best word to describe it.

If you’ve seen How I Met Your Mother, you probably couldn’t help thinking of it while watching the trailer. Milioti is most well known for her role on the popular CBS comedy, but it’s more than that. The comparison strengthens because A to Z also has a narrator (Katey Sagal), and it seems to have the familiar “let me tell you a story” tone. Those similarities don’t mean A to Z won’t be its own beast, but it’s hard not to take note of them.

It’s obviously not possible to judge the entire series by a two minute trailer, but even with the How I Met Your Mother vibe, A to Z looks promising. Feldman and Milioti have an adorkable brand of chemistry, and we’re missing that type of love story on network television right now.

A to Z will air on Thursdays at 9:30pm ET/PT. Take note of NBC’s full fall schedule and plan accordingly.

How do you feel about the first A to Z trailer? Let us know in the comments.

This looks super adorable! Maybe looks a bit more like a movie.. but looking forward to seeing it on TV!

So happy that Cristin Milioti is going to be back on my tv screen full time.  HIMYM was like a tease; we got to see so little of her yet she was captivating in every small scene she was in.  Hope this does well!
