Watch the Latest Trailer for SPECTRE with Christoph Waltz’s James Bond Villain Now!

Has it really been four months since we saw the first and until now only trailer for the next James Bond film? Thankfully, Sony has made the wait worthwhile, and today we’ve got our thrill-packed second look at director Sam Mendes’ SPECTRE, which sees Daniel Craig return to the role that made him a superstar. In the follow-up to 2012’s blockbuster Skyfall, 007 is again an active agent at MI6, who must confront an enemy from his past with ties to the titular criminal organization made famous in the classic ’60s Bond films…

Gotta love that Nehru jacket that Christoph Waltz’s character is wearing, in the grand tradition of past Bond supervillains (as well as Dr. Evil). And I’m all about the late composer John Barry’s dread-laced theme for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (quite possibly the best ever Bond score), which is reworked for the above trailer, slowly arriving at the 1:13 mark. Here’s hoping SPECTRE’s original music proves equally memorable. As for Waltz’s words, “It was me, James. The author of all your pain”… Since Casino Royale‘s Mr. White again appears in this film, and is therefore presumably connected to Waltz’s Big Bad, could the latter be taking credit for the death of Vesper Lynd in Craig’s first Bond film?

Written once more by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan, SPECTRE, which will be Mendes’ final James Bond film, co-stars Waltz as Bond’s former ski instructor/legal guardian and now foe Franz Oberhauser, Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Andrew Scott as Denbigh, Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, Ralph Fiennes as Gareth Mallory (a.k.a. M), Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, Rory Kinnear as MI6 Chief of Staff Bill Tanner, and Jesper Christensen as Mr. White SPECTRE opens on October 26th in the U.K. and on November 6th in the U.S.
