Watch the First Trailer for Amy Schumer & Judd Apatow’s TRAINWRECK

I must say I shrieked a little when I found out the trailer for Amy Schumer‘s feature film, Trainwreck, was floating around the Internet wild. For those unaware, the film was written by and stars the Inside Amy Schumer creator as a modern day woman who has has serious monogamy issues. Things get interesting when her character is assigned a work project to profile a dashing sports doctor played by Bill Hader (who has plenty of leading man experience). She appears to instantly fall for the eligible bachelor and we can only hope the storyline gets complicated in a heartfelt way.

This is the first time Judd Apatow has directed a movie that that he hasn’t written, which says a lot about the quality of Schumer’s work. Judd Apatow, you will recall, is a rom com master and has produced movie classics like The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Bridesmaids and This is 40. The ensemble cast of Trainwreck includes a combination of cinematic heavyweights, comedians, recording artists and sports stars. You can expect to see Tilda Swinton, Brie Larson, Randall Park, Dave Attell, Colin Quinn, Barkhad Abdi, Mike Birbiglia, Jon Glaser, Vanessa Bayer, John Cena, Ezra Miller, LeBron James, Method Man, Jim Norton, and more.

I must say I’m thrilled to see Amy becoming a big time movie star. You can bet this will be a collaboration that both tugs at the cardiac strings, as well as makes us snort outloud in the theatre. (Please don’t judge.) The film is scheduled to be released July 17, 2015 by Universal Pictures. Check out the trailer now!
