Watch the First SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS Trailer and More TV News

It’s time to wrap up the week, so let’s send it out on a high note with all sorts of TV news, shall we? Today’s TV-Cap has the first trailer for Netflix’s Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, some news about Greg Grunberg joining The Flash, a Better Call Saul gag reel, and more.

Meet the Baudelaires. Don’t listen to Netflix. They don’t want you to watch the first official trailer for Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, but it’s worth ignoring their warning. This look introduces the orphans, Count Olaf, and the mysteries at play. I can already tell Neil Patrick Harris is going to kill it. [Nerdist]

More Comics! The number of comic book-inspired TV shows on the air these days is so high I couldn’t name them all off the top of my head, and I don’t think the trend is going to end anytime soon. The CW is in preliminary talks with Valiant Comics to add another one to the list: Dr. Mirage. The series from writer Jen Van Meter and artist Roberto de la Torre stars Dr. Mirage, a paranormal investigator. Nothing is finalized, but we’ll keep you posted. [Deadline]

Alaric Appearance. This one’s for you, The Vampire Diaries fans. Matt Davis, a.k.a. Alaric, will be appearing in season four of The Originals—in the eighth episode, to be exact. [TVLine]

Stock Up. New episodes of Gilmore Girls are nearly upon us. This is not a drill. Jenn’s rounded up all sorts of fun handmade goods to help you celebrate in the latest Home Geekonomics.

Pokémon Meets Disney. If you have Disney XD, it’s soon going to be easy for you to watch all the Pokémon. The deal between Disney and The Pokémon Company begins on December 5, and Disney XD will kick off the new partnership by airing the U.S. premiere of the newest Pokémon film (trailer above). They’re getting access to new episodes, yes, but also the backlog of 19 seasons. Learn more at Nerdist.

Gag Reels Win. If you watch Better Call Saul and are in need of some laughs, this is for you. The second season of the AMC series has arrived on Blu-ray/DVD, and Sony Pictures has shared the gag reel special feature. Watch it right this way. [Slashfilm]

New Detective in Town. Greg Grunberg has joined the cast of The Flash in a recurring role. He’s set to play Detective Tom Patterson, a stalwart figure in the Central City Police Department. He’ll arrive in the November 22 episode. [CBR]

End of the Road? Will Supernatural ever end? CW president Mark Pedowitz has said repeatedly that they’re more or less on board as long as Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki still want to make the show. Sydney discussed the topic with the actors during a recent set visit, and they want to go to episode 300. Read their comments here at Nerdist.

Fire and Demons. Let’s close out this here TV-Cap with some recaps. Michael’s reached the end of season two of Game of Thrones with Re-Throned; read the latest recap here (Dany burns stuff). And on the subject of current shows, the Winchesters went to a wake on the new Supernatural; read my recap.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will be here in a week! How are you preparing? Tell me in the comments.
