While his demise may have been less than sweet, thereâs no denying Mike Ehrmantraut was one of the favorite supporting characters of Breaking Bad. Over the years, we watched as Mike worked as hard as he could to deal with the antics of Walter White while keeping all of the bosses and friends he answered to happy. In the end, however, Mike went out like a champion, asking Walter to let him die with some dignity after being mortally wounded by a man he once considered weak. But it turns out that fateful moment wonât be the last time Jonathan Banks dons his famed persona as the character is set to return in AMCâs upcoming Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul.
We know an Ehrmantraut eulogy is not what brought you here today, but rather a new clip from AMC that shows us one of the first moments New Mexicoâs famous corrupt lawyer met his muscle. Check it out:
Consider us even more intrigued. We can’t wait to find out how Mike went from working for Saul to working for Gus Fring. Pre-Breaking Bad Mike appears like a guy without much purpose in life, but when given that purpose, he realizes what he was always meant to do. As we watch Saul go down the rabbit hole of New Mexico criminal insanity, we’ll also get to see him move up in Fring’s operation.
Oh, and did we mention thereâs a new trailer for you to enjoy? Take a peek:
