Watch One of Batman’s Notorious Enemies Escape in this ARKHAM KNIGHT Easter Egg

It was only a matter of time before the folks at Batman Arkham Videos uncovered yet another easter egg nestled deep within one of Rocksteady’s Arkham games. The last one we reported on featured a super secret message from the caped crusader’s infamous enemy Calendar Man, which was found via changing the date and time on PC/console. This time around, the YouTube channel dedicated to Arkham-related secrets, tips, and tricks revealed that by once again fiddling with the date, you’ll find that a certain villain has escaped his cage in Batman: Arkham Knight.

WARNING: Please do not, I repeat, DO NOT watch the video above or keep reading if you haven’t played Batman: Arkham Knight yet and don’t want things spoiled for you. Okay, you’ve been warned. If you’re still here, keep on reading!

The video at the top of the page reveals that by setting your clock to October 31, 2015 after having successfully capturing Man-Bat and finishing the Most Wanted Mission “Creature of the Night”, a special event will be triggered. Similar to your first encounter with the ferocious enemy, there’ll be another jump-scare.

Once you’ve finished having about five panic attacks, and have come to the realization that you can never trust Rocksteady again, heading back to GCPD headquarters will reveal that Man-Bat has broken the glass and escaped his cell. It’s unclear whether you’ll be prompted to catch him again, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he might just disappear from the game.

With this, Rocksteady has once again demonstrated their attention to detail, and I can’t wait to see what else gets uncovered. Seeing as people are still finding Arkham City easter eggs a whole three years after the game’s initial release, I’d say we’ve still got tons of treasures to find.
