With all the TV news happening around the web, one would wonder, who still has time for movies? The answer? We fine Nerdist folk, because we love you. The day may have started with some fresh DC news in the form of Gotham updates, but now its Marvel’s (or more specifically Fox’s) turn to take the comic book adaptation baton with an all new character video for X-Men: Days of Future Past’s iteration of the one and only Mystique:

These little character videos Fox keeps putting out are by far some of our favorites. They don’t contain any spoilers, yet they’re still completely badass little tastes of mutant goodness that can get us ready for the film’s May release (which is coming up fast).

The other good piece of news in regards to Days of Future Past is critics have begun seeing the film, and it seems we’re in store for what might not just be the best X-Men movie ever, but one of the best comic book movies ever. Word is the film, though narratively complex, doesn’t crumble under the weight of its own story, and every character has a chance to shine.

So, on behalf of all nerdom, let’s take a rather large sigh of relief that the movie is (hopefully) as epic as the trailers have led us to believe.
