In her last two films, The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, director Kathryn Bigelow took a hard, probing look at the United States’ military and intelligence community. The former won her two Oscars in 2010 for best director and best picture, and the latter got a nomination for best picture in 2013. Now, two years since the release of Thirty, Bigelow has returned with a new film, or rather, a new short that’s completely worth the next four minutes of your life:

Originally premiering on Time.com, Bigelow told the news website, “Last year I was made aware of the very real connection between elephant poaching and terrorism,” adding, “for me it represented the diabolical intersection of two problems that are of great concern — species extinction and global terrorism. Both involve the loss of innocent life, and both require urgent action.”

Without a doubt, this a powerful short film with a very real story to tell — Bigelow convinces yous this is an issue worth tackling.
