Okay, so maybe this weekend’s Suicide Squad wasn’t exactly all its advertising promised it would be. But there’s a whole crop of new films coming this autumn to get excited for. One of the biggest is Disney’s animated Moana, from which we have a ton of new footage and videos in today’s Movie Morsels. Plus, we’ve got the latest from Rogue One, Doctor Strange, and much more!
Moana
Disney debuted a new preview of its upcoming Moana during last night’s Olympics coverage. We got our first look at several new environments and characters, including the fearsome Lava Witch, whom Moana‘s titular heroine (voiced by newcomer Auli’i Cravalho) must battle with the help of her Polynesian deity pal Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson). The preview was first teased on social media by the two stars and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who’s composed several new songs for the November 23 release…

Miranda also took over Instagram, taking requests for Disney songs from fans. He sang them all in his own inimitable style, ranging from The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and the Beast…
