Flames. Renegades. A defiant white guy. Another, angrier white guy. Explosions. Like, a lot, a lot of explosions. Linkin Park! This is Disney and Pixar’s Up â but not as you’ve ever seen it before. This is the Michael Bay version of the heartstring-tugging story, folks, and let us tell you: there’s nary a heartstring that will be pulled by this one (unless you tear up at the sight of an epic explosion, in which case: you’re very much in luck!).
YouTube user Mr. Stratman7 (no known relation to Mr. Stratman6 – 0) edited the happy go lucky children’s film to embody the Bay-ian pathos. Explosions â not just adventures â are out there, folks. Lots and lots of blowing up business. Because what else, right? The time to take back what is yours by right (by doing whatever it takes) is now!
You should be warned, though: the ending is a bit of a shocker. (We’ll let you watch before we discuss.)
Yes, that’s right: in Michael Bay’s iteration of the tale, young Ellie explodes at her wedding. Which, honestly, in the Michael Bayiverse really does make the most sense (that’s what happened to Megan Fox in Transformers, right?). After all she was probably just so excited about the prospect of a life on the run from The Man with her hulking hero by her side that she just spontaneously combust on the spot. Life is cruel to the man at the heart of any Michael Bay production, my friends.
What film would you like to see this guy Michael Bay-ify next? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
Mary Poppins. Definitely.
If this video had included that obnoxious bass-drop sound that’s in virtually every movie trailer, it would have been perfect.
Actually, put this in about 4 times, and we’re good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfGOLaX91lY
I think Good Will Hunting or Forest Gump could really do with more explosions.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a few Smurfs explode. “Help me, Jesus, my smurf’s on fire!”
Something smells smurfilicious! Oh shit it’s me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can we get a Michael Bay-ified Toy Story (Preferabbly 3, but 1 or 2 would suffice).

Blown UP
Can’t wait for Up 4 – Up Higher and I hear talks are in the works for Up 5 – Up Another Day.
Recycling footage from one of his other films… I see what you did there. Bravo.
“Up 2: This Shit is Going Down 3, Revenger of the Upside” starring Tom Hanks as Will Smith and Will smith as Robotic Mark Twain.
That last scene was probably the funniest thing I’ve seen all day.
That last scene at the end really choked me up…
