Unless you’re a diehard EVE: Online or Dust 514 player, or lucky enough to be a journalist invited to cover the event, you probably aren’t making the long, arduous trip to Iceland for EVE Fanfest 2014. Fortunately, you don’t have to travel the 4,305 miles that I did to experience the majesty of the land of Vikings and the wonderment of all things EVE: Online, Dust 514, and EVE: Valkyrie, because CCP Games has teamed up with Twitch to stream the event live all weekend long. For a nominal fee, you can upgrade to an HD stream of the event, but in the meantime, enjoy this sweet, sweet SD goodness.
While my intrepid cameraman/sherpa Jesse McKeil and I will be bringing you updates all weekend long, you can rest easy in the knowledge that you won’t have to have your legs crushed when Becky in Seat 32F reclines suddenly, effectively ruining your enjoyment of the last 20 minutes of I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry or whatever film Icelandair is showing. Not that that happened to me, of course; I was watching Da Vinci’s Demons.
EVE Fanfest runs from May 1-3 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Be sure to follow Jesse and me on Twitter for updates in the meantime.
Dan is at the Fanfest? Did I miss the announcement or didn’t you guys tell us about this?
Well this could’ve been the final kick to get my ass over there since I’m extremely indecisive.
Ah yeah before I forget: As a german person I feel obliged to apologise for “that” guy(I’m pretty sure we all know who it is I’m talking about). Unless this turns out as some genius level comedy act, he’s forbidden from entering the Reich ever again.
