Watch Crazy Hot Wheels Tricks from GoPro POV and Try Not to Hurl

The Fast and the Furious has become a monumental franchise for a lot of reasons, chief among them its go-to stable of very powerful, very bald men… and of course, a wide array of ridiculous car stunts. Unfortunately, ridiculous car stunts are the last thing any sane person would want to be involved with in real life. Unless they were insane Hot Wheels car stunts. The very sort seen in the above video, which, be warned, may or may not trigger vertigo.

The video, which comes via Laughing Squid, was posted by the YouTube channel 5MadMovieMakers. The Mad Movie Makers have been making videos of “miniature adventures… and stop motion shorts” since 2010. They’ve turned their latest tiny action thriller into almost every child’s fantasy: a series of seriously cool Hot Wheels tricks. Not just getting air, but doing flips. You know, the real (toy car) deal.

The definite highlight of the tiny automotive air show—which is kind of like Spielberg’s Duel if that movie all took place in a backyard and involved a ladder—is the use of a camera actually placed on a chaser car that films the action from a first-person point of view. This results in some really sweet shots, like first-person air off the side of a slide, as well as some shots that would make Lucille Austero need to sit down for a while (people who saw the latest Bourne movie, you know what’s up).

The tricks displayed in the video include “the Long Jump, the Falling Roll, the 360 Flip Spin, the Double Roll, the Halfpipe, the Falling Front Flip, the Double Jump through Hoops,” and of course, “the Splash Dive.” That last trick looks like it ends next to a fat koi fish. (Movie producers, we think we have your bad guy for Fast 8.)

What do you think about this crazy first-person ride through a whole bunch of tiny slides? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
