Can Chris Pratt ever stop being funny? Not that anyone really wants that. Prattâs comedic persona has made him an international movie star even before the imminent release of Jurassic World.
Universal Studios and Legendary Studios have posted a behind-the-scenes video of Prattâs preparation for some of the stunts that he performed in Jurassic World. But no one in the filmâs crew can keep a straight face as Pratt gyrates his body while stretching. Even Prattâs co-star, Bryce Dallas Howard, can be seen cracking up in the background of one of the shots.
This video isnât particularly spoilery for Jurassic World, but we do see Prattâs character Owen getting knocked backwards by an explosion before he goes on the run from a presumably lethal Indominus rex.
Jurassic World is the first film in the Jurassic Park series since 2001. Director Colin Trevorrow has set Jurassic World 22 years after the original movie as the dream of a fully-operational dinosaur theme park has become a reality. But itâs only a matter of time before something goes terribly wrong.
Joining Pratt and Howard in Jurassic World are Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3), Jake Johnson (New Girl), Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer), Irrfan Khan (Life of Pi), Vincent DâOnofrio (Daredevil), Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Judy Greer (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), and Katie McGrath (Dracula). Barring some unexpected cameos, B.D. Wong will be the only actor from the original Jurassic Park to return for this sequel.
Jurassic World roars into theaters on Friday, June 12.
