It’s been over a decade since Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles graced our television screens with new adventuresâbut now they’re back to save the citizens of Townsville, U.S.A. from natural disasters, giant crab monsters, and evil monkeys alike. Yup, that’s right: The Powerpuff Girls have returned, with an all-new series coming to Cartoon Network later this year. And now you can watch the premiere episode of the newly reimagined series for free, thanks to iTunes.
For some of you who were lucking enough to attend this year’s SXSW in Austin, Cartoon Network debuted its highly-anticipated new series The Powerpuff Girls at the Festival this week with the “Power It Up! World Premiere Celebration.” The free, open-to-the-public event gave fans of all ages the first look at the new iteration of the classic animated series, complete with an exclusive screening, a larger-than-life balloon parade, and more.
For those of you out there who couldn’t attend the event in Austin, worry not, because starting today, an all-episode of the show titled “Man Up”  is available now â for free â exclusively via iTunes. In “Man Up,” when Buttercup’s aggression inadvertently allows villain Man-Boy to escape, she starts a new-age lifestyle in an effort to be more calm. But when Man-Boy returns to enact his revenge, Buttercup must embrace the balance between punching and hugging in order to defeat him. So don’t miss your chance to see the return of The Powerpuff Girls months before they hit the television airwaves.
