Warner Bros. Announces LEGO JURASSIC WORLD, LEGO MARVEL’S AVENGERS

Warner Bros. Interactive announced a bunch of new LEGO titles today, the highlights being LEGO Jurassic World and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. Scheduled to hit this year, both games will release on the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, and PC.

LEGO Jurassic World will take players through the stories of the original Jurassic Park trilogy, as well as the upcoming film. Warner Bros. Interactive boasts that this is the first title that will allow you to relive and experience all four Jurassic Park films. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will take a different direction from the previous LEGO Marvel Superheroes title, and will be the first console title that follows the Marvel cinema story arc, with the events leading up to the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron to play out within the game’s narrative. Looks like TT Games, the British studio at the helm of most of the LEGO titles, has certainly ramped up their development cycle.

“This year will be the biggest yet for LEGO video games with these incredible titles and several firsts for the series,” stated Tom Stone, the Managing Director at TT Games. “TT Games are crafting humorous LEGO adventures, based on new stories and characters across some of the most well-known and iconic worlds.”

Warner Bros. Interactive is projected to have an excellent year in 2015. They capped off last year with the game of the year contender Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, released what some have deemed the “best zombie game of the year” earlier this week with Dying Light, and still have Batman: Arkham Knight, as well as Mortal Kombat X coming within the next six months. With these newly announced Lego properties added to their repertoire, things are certainly looking up for the studio.

Are you going to be picking up either or both of these games? What’s your favorite LEGO/property tie-in game to date? Break down your thoughts in the comments below.
