Of the many things the series has pulled off during its soon to be concluded seven season run, one of the things Sons of Anarchy has never been able to top is the surprise introduction of a transgender call girl, Venus, played by the absolutely brilliant Walton Goggins. When the character first appeared in season five, we all had a good chuckle at the extent to which Sutter and Goggins went to have themselves a Shield reunion, but it was in season six that the series really gave Venus narrative purpose and legitimate weight. So of course, with the final season of the outlaw drama fast approaching, one of the big questions is, will Venus make one final return before the series finale? Well, it seems not too long ago, Sutter himself cleared things up:
I am very happy to report that in season 7 of SOA, THERE WILL BE SOME MUTHAFUCKIN’ VENUS!

And there you have it, with one tweet, we all can celebrate knowing Goggins will dawn his massive chest enhancement one more time for SAMCRO. As long time Sons of Anarchy fans, we couldn’t be happier to hear this news, and we seriously cannot wait to see what Sutter has in store for not just Venus, but the entire gang as we enter the final chapter of their long and winding road.
Oh, and here’s hoping for some Tig/Venus action, because that s***’s gold, every time.

Goggins plays Venus beautifully. It’s a really warm element to such a harsh show. One of the best things about Venus is how accepting the MC is of her. Really glad to see she’ll be back for S7.
I had no idea Venus was played by a cis male. Well done, Mr. Goggins. I love Venus’s development – it’s a rare bright spot on a series that had started to become a bit of a joke in my household.
