After the events of Voltron: Legendary Defender season three, the true origin of Voltron and the Galran has been revealed, and the Paladins are back together. Shiro has returned to the team, and he’s still proving his worth even if he can’t pilot Black Lion anymore. Unfortunately for everyone, Zarkon is also back, and his quest for power will reverberate throughout the universe.
Later this month, the fourth season of Voltron will forge the legend of the Defender of the Universe as the Paladins gather new allies and strength their collation against the Galran. Entertainment Weekly has posted the first trailer from the new season, which features Coran acting as an intergalactic hype man for the team, and Lance being true to himself.
It’s not going to be a smooth transition for either side. Keith and Shiro don’t necessarily see eye-to-eye about their approach to the war, and Zarkon has his own problems. Prince Lotor still has his own plans, and he’s not going to let his father get in the way of his ambitions.
Evidently, a lot of tension is set to accompany the next string of Voltron episodes upon its return to the small screen. Though we should no doubt bank on the usual helping of fun and humor that the series always guarantees as well.
