New VIKINGS Clip Shows Ragnar’s Sons Aren’t Happy (Exclusive)

With great company like the Stark brothers from Game of Thrones, the five sons of Ragnar Lothbrok are proving their worth to the world, one raid after another. But unlike the closer Stark brotherhood, these Viking brothers aren’t about playing nice. History Channel’s acclaimed historical-drama Vikings gives us an exclusive look at the building brotherly disagreements from this week’s episode, “On The Eve.” Here’s your obligatory warning: MILD SPOILERS AHEAD.

Ragnar Lothbrok left behind his five sons—Björn, Ubbe, Hvitserk, Sigurd, and Ivar—to ravish the world in his honor. Revenge has played well in season four for nearly every character, but what happens when there’s a chance for revenge from within the ranks? We all know nothing good could come from family rivalry, but when one brother’s mother killed the other brothers’ mother/queen, there’s going to be some tension. (Oh, and did we mention there’s also a doomed throuple between Ubbe, his wife Margrethe, and Hvitserk going on, too?) But really Ivar and Björn have been clashing the most for a while now. Throw in Ivar’s status as a cripple and Björn ego, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for humiliation and belittlement between the two, causing nasty rifts for all of them. But even after battling a bear earlier this season, Björn is no match for the crazy ferocity of Ivar the Boneless.

The Great Heathen Army has assembled and succeeded… so far, and there are only two episodes left in season four—wouldn’t it be would iconic if the one thing that brought about the greatest Viking raid yet was also their greatest downfall? We’re with Floki on this one; “the grunting of the little pigs” was legit Ragnar’s final forewarning. If you want to keep an eye on the Vikings brotherhood, join us for our weekly episode recaps each Wednesday, and let us know which son of Ragnar you’re rooting for this season!
