VENOM and FLUBBER Merge to Form One Horrifying Mash-up Trailer

Lurking among us are living substances too powerful to ever be contained. Strips of sentient organic matter that pose the gravest threat to humanity. They can turn even the best of men into agents of chaos and mayhem. Of course we’re talking about Flubber, but we can understand if you thought we were referring to the symbiotes of Venom.

The latest remix from Nerdist Presents brings to you the gritty Flubber reboot that is sure to terrify audiences. In the unlikeliest of episodes of two independent bodies merging to form one, Robin Williams’ 1997 sci-fi comedy and Sony’s upcoming supervillain movie have joined forces to give us the most horrifying, dangerous, and hilarious sticky crossover in cinematic goo history.

When a mad scientist tries to harness the awesome power of the alien substance, it breaks free and connects with a journalist who gets too close to the truth. Together they unleash a green evil that threatens to consume anyone who gets in their way. (We don’t know why, but there’s just something about Tom Hardy that makes him perfect for these unlikely movie crossovers.)

As for the unexpected relationship between Flubber and Venom, it’s okay, it won’t hurt you to admit the horrible truth—the idea of seeing this movie “is not completely awful.” Sometimes certain ideas have a way of sticking together.

What other old movie about a strange substance would make for an unlikely-but-perfect pairing with the symbiote from Venom? Don’t flub your chance to give us your best ideas in the comments section below.
