Vans Launches New Space Voyager Collection in Honor of NASA

By now we’ve seen Vans pay homage to animated pop culture mainstays, video game characters, and our favorite superheroes, but the new footwear and accessories collection blasting off in November honors real heroes: the men and women of NASA who have made the impossible possible.

The Space Voyager collection, which celebrates the sixtieth anniversary of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, features designs that history and space buffs can get excited about. The distressed and slightly retro designs of classic shoes like the Sk8-11 and Old Skool honor some of NASA’s biggest milestones. From the Apollo 11 mission that was the first to land on the moon, to the interplanetary satellites of Voyager, these shoes and accessories are a much-needed reminder of all that the scientists and astronauts of NASA have accomplished.

The bright orange colors of the collection are a perfect match to the International Orange of the space shuttle astronaut suits. (Talk about shoes that stand out!) Shoes come with removable patches so that you can put your own spin on your giant leaps for mankind.

Take a look at the gallery below for just some of the pieces of the Vans Space Voyager collection, which includes shoes, jackets, and bags.

It would be too trite to say this collection is out of this world, but we’ll leave you with one good(?) space pun: this latest Vans collection is stellar.
