We love Faith. As far as superhero comics go, this one is damn near perfection. It’s this rich, true love that makes us so excited to offer you, dear comic readers, and exclusive preview of the upcoming Faith #3. Writer Jody Houser was born to write this book. She brings so much heart and life to the series, it’s hard to imagine how we ever let anybody else write Faith (and how we could possibly ever let anybody else do it in the future). Here’s hoping Valiant is smart and keeps Houser in the sandbox and writing this character for a long time. As a series, Faith is kicking butt and climbing the charts, and that is in large part because of what Jody Houser brings to it.
It also helps that, as you can see from the pages below, Faith looks amazing, too. Francis Portela’s detailed storytelling is superb. The action is bold, big, and exciting, like superhero comics were meant to be. Three issues in, and Portela is still delivering the goods on every page. If looks could kill, Faith would watch you die.
