Valar Glaesagon! GAME OF THRONES’ Principal Cast Members Locked For Potential Season 7

Sure, all men must die: but for now, they must live! And live they shall, should a seventh season of the HBO series Game of Thrones come into fruition. All of the series’ main cast members have signed on for more of George R.R. Martin’s world of ice and fire come to televised life — something that seems more than inevitable given the show’s rabid (understatement) fanbase. Not only that — they’re getting mega-raises to boot. Valar Glaesagon, folks!

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to confirm the news — because of course they were, they are a very fancy and important trade publication! — stating that the network recently completed a fairly hefty bit of renegotiation with the series’ main actors to include a season seven option, should the series get that far. As you’re likely to remember, back in April, Game of Thrones was renewed for a fifth AND sixth season, the former of which is well underway filming all around the world.

But the raises and sign-ons weren’t all that cut and dry. The series has broken the cast into tiers of importance to the story itself. The “A” tier — who allegedly came to renegotiations as a united front — includes actors Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister). The “B” tier includes Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), and a few others. There’s also a “C” tier but apparently anything they got was minimal at best. Regardless, if the show ends up getting the seventh season it desires, the cast members will become some of the highest-paid actors on cable TV. As they should! Because, as we all know, Game of Thrones is the best.

Were you surprised that Arya Stark wasn’t on the A-team? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments.

  1. Smith says:

Maybe we’ll be seeing less of Aria because she’ll be busy training to become a kickass-assassin and thats why she’s in the B-team, but fear not I’m sure she’ll be back later to cross all those names on her list…

  2. Henrik says:

Seriously, you do not want to ruffle that girl’s feathers!
