It ain’t easy being green. Just ask J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter. He seems to be doing his best Sad Affleck impression on the cover of DC Comics‘ Martian Manhunter #11. But unlike the newest cinematic Batman greeting the darkness, his old friend, J’onn J’onzz is contending with the grim fact that sometimes you simply can’t save everyone. It’s a hard truth for superheroes to process, especially one as altruistic and noble as the Martian Manhunter, but with a mad Martian tyrant on the loose with Earth in his crosshairs, it’s going to take more than altruism and nobility to save the day. Take a peek at exactly what hurdles J’onn will be facing in our exclusive preview of DC Comics’ Martian Manhunter #11 in our gallery below.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“A hero falls when the tyrant Maâalefaâak seizes upon the spirit of Mars itself in a last, desperate effort to escape the dying planet and conquer Earth, and not even the power of Jâonn Jâonzz may be able to save the people of two worlds from annihilation.”
