When it comes to making jokes on Twitter…:checks notes:…people are all becoming a little repetitive. A lot of them are tired even when they’re wired, because everyone is pulling from the same plum-filled icebox these days. And even when someone comes up with a great new gag, it’s not long before everyone else is doing it, and before you know it we’re all looking at Drake’s approval. But we have a feeling no one is going to copy what one creative and dedicated Twitter user did, because it took 3-and-a-half months and a whole lot of planning for her to secretly Tweet out the lyrics to Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Hadie Mart asked if she pulled off the greatest scheme in Twitter history, but didn’t explain exactly what she did. She just instructed everyone to read the first word of all of her tweets starting with this one.
IS IT JUST ME, OR DID I JUST PULL OFF THE GREATEST TWITTER SCHEME OF ALL TIME?????

Ignore the rest of the Tweets, and combined, the first word of each reads, “Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?” Those are of course the opening lyrics to “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which means she had the foresight to write them backwards so everyone could then easily read them straight down her timeline. It’s made for a rather eclectic, often strange Twitter account, but the entire song is there, starting way back on May 7th with the final word in the song.

This might seem like a fun silly little gag, but it’s so much better when you go through her entire feed to how she handled all those “Gallileos” and “Bismillahs.” Plus it had some very interesting facts along the way.

So is this the greatest scheme in Twitter history? Maybe/maybe not; we never would have figured this out on our own, so who know what other secret gags are still waiting to be unearthed. But this might be…:checks notes:…the most original. And even Drake would agree, it’s way better than re-writing “Bohemian Rhapsody” lyrics so it’s about a poor boy eating a stupid plum.
What do you think of this gag? Worth the time and effort? Tell us in the comments below.
