TWIN PEAKS Is Offically Coming to Hall H at SDCC 2017

Although David Lynch, Mark Frost and the cast of the Twin Peaks revival avoided press (and the fans) like the plague since the Showtime iteration was announced, now that the series is airing to near universal acclaim, the show you like is reportedly making it’s first-ever appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this year.

Showtime confirmed in a press release that it will bring its revival series to the convention this year for a panel in Hall H, which will take place on July 21 at 2:45 PM. The panel, moderated by Lost and The Leftovers‘ Damon Lindelof, will feature cast members Kyle MacLachlan, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Dana Ashbrook, Kimmy Robertson, Everett McGill, Matthew Lillard, James Marshall, and Don Murray.

Additionally, Showtime will air an advance screening of Twin Peaks‘ forthcoming eleventh episode at 10 PM that night in Room 6A.

You may have noticed the unfortunate omission of names like David Lynch and Mark Frost, the co-creators of Twin Peaks and its contemporary followup series. Though Lynch especially is notoriously closed mouthed when it comes to his projects, it’d be especially intriguing to hear from him on The Return given all the creative freedom he seems to be enjoying (in comparison to the original series, which fit somewhat more snugly within the margins of network television propriety). With Lynch or without, the Twin Peaks panel should be more than worth the price of a cup of coffee.
