It’s happening today, you guys. The full Thursday schedule for San Diego Comic-Con will be released and then we can all start color-coding our spreadsheetsâI’m not the only one who does this, right? We just learned Orphan Black will be joining the Comic-Con party with a panel and a fan meet-up. Today’s TV-Cap has details on that, a behind-the-scenes look at season six of The Walking Dead, The CW’s fall premiere schedule, and more.
What’s Ahead. Most of us will never visit the set of The Walking Dead so this video from behind-the-scenes of Season 6 is as close as we’ll get. Michael Cudlitz (Abraham Ford) takes us around and talks to a few actors, and hey, Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) shows up and kisses Danai Gurira (Michonne). No plot details from the next season are revealed so it’s a lot of vague teases but that’s better than nothing at all, right? [Comic Book Resources]
Prepare Your Lungs. Get your best slasher screams ready because Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens will premiere on Fox on September 22. And that’s not all. Charisma Carpenter. a.k.a. Cordelia Chase from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, has been cast as the mom of Ariana Grande’s character. It’s a guest starring/maybe recurring role. [Deadline]
A Full Schedule. Summer’s nice and all, but I’m sort of ready for new episodes of my favorite television series and many of those series are on The CW. The network has all the genre things, and they’ve announced their premiere schedule. It kicks off on October 6. The Flash and iZombie are on Tuesday, Arrow and Supernatural are on Wednesday, and in a change from the recent TV season, The Vampire Diaries will be teamed up with The Originals on Thursday. Get CW’s complete schedule right here at Nerdist.
Have Another Season. The quite excellent first episode of Mr. Robot debuted Wednesday night on USA, but before it had a chance to reach the masses via the network, USA granted the drama a second season. The pilot has been available on YouTube for about a month and the buzz I’ve seen has been positive. I’ll feel better watching season one knowing it won’t be pulled out from under my feet. [A.V. Club]
Managing Heroes. The CW’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is showrunner-less no longer. Phil Klemmer has been named as the showrunner for the superhero team-up series. Klemmer has worked with Greg Berlanti before and will work with him, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim, and Sarah Schechter on the upcoming series. [Comic Book Resources]
Colliding Opinions. Fox has found the stars for its upcoming supernatural series Houdini & Doyle. The series about the unlikely friendship between Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle will be explored in a 10-episode run dropping sometime in 2016 and will star Michael Weston (House) as Houdini and Stephen Mangan (Episodes) as Doyle. When Death Gets Graphic. HBO’s commemorates the iconic deaths of each episode of Game of Thrones with some stunning posters by Robert Ball. The above poster is from the eighth episode of the most recent season, “Hardhome.” The event depicted in the poster was the most horrific happening of the series, but this image makes it look oddly gorgeous. See the rest of the Beautiful Deaths from Season 5 of Game of Thrones in this gallery.
Clone Club at Comic-Con. Forget SDCC, it’s CCCC. Orphan Black will return to the convention in San Diego with a panel and a fancy fan meet-up. The time and location for the panel hasn’t been announced yet, but the meet-up will take place on Saturday, July 11, at 10:00am at the House of Blues in honor of Alison’s win. It’s a first come, first served event, and yes, there will be a line. [Deadline]
Prepare a Kramer Entrance. Kramer had a certain way of entering Jerry Seinfeld’s apartment in Seinfeld, and you can practice your Kramer moves when you visit a pop-up Seinfeld set in New York City (ideas in the above supercut). A replica of Jerry’s apartment is currently set up in The Milk Studios space (at 451 W 14th Street) from now through June 28, 10:00am to 7:00pm each day. The Seinfeld tribute was made to celebrate the fact that all of Seinfeld is now available for streaming on Hulu. Watch an episode, remind yourself of what Jerry’s apartment looks like, then pay a visit to this pop-up exhibit and admire all the details. [The Hollywood Reporter]
