Have you been missing your favorite CW series? Rest easy, because most of them return this week. The Flash midseason premiere drops January 19, Arrow and Supernatural will air on January 20, and The 100 and Legends of Tomorrow swoop in on January 21. Whew. Not a bad line-up, huh? Tonight also sees the debut of season two of Agent Carter. Keep your television excitement going by reading today’s TV-Cap. Alter Ego. The presence of Earth-2 in The Flash has opened the door, er, the portal to possibilities. Other versions of the characters we know and love are showing up, and that includes a different take on Caitlin Snow and Ronnie Raymond. In Earth-2, they’re Killer Frost and Deathstorm. It’s a Miracle. Season two of Netflix’s quirky and charming-as-hell comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt hasn’t premiered yet (that happens in April), but the streaming service has gone ahead and renewed it for a third season. There is justice in the world. [TV Fanatic]
Expanding the Scope. Netflix brought the Fuller House cast and executive producers to the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour, and they were asked about including storylines that discussed equal marriage rights. Executive producer Jeff Franklin said they’re open to the possibility of diving into LGBT relationships. You can read more of his comments and some from Candace Bure at Deadline.
Down the Drain. A&E has released a teaser for season four of Bates Motel, and even though the footage only runs for about 15 seconds, it’s ridiculously creepy. And there’s a nice Psycho homage shot. Bates Motel will return on March 7. [Slashfilm]
In Focus. Jessica Jones season two is happening. Our hero came out of season one triumphant but still very broken, so what lies ahead for her? Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg found about the renewal at TCA and said, “I think I just want it to be about her character. She’s a very damaged character, and that damage goes beyond Kilgrave. There’s a lot to mine from in her backstory and into her present day situation.” She added that she’ll continue to use as much as she can from the comic book source material. [Nerdist]
Another Delay. HBO’s Westworld keeps encountering hiccups. The series based on the 1973 film of the same name has halted production in order to give them more time to polish scripts for the last four episodes. HBO still thinks the sci-fi show will debut in 2016. [Slashfilm]
Convenience Store Meet-Cute. Is love ever like it’s portrayed in the movies? Pretty much no, never. And a new Netflix series from Judd Apatow, Lesley Arfin, and Paul Rust will explore that. The first trailer for Love shows a realistic, amusing look at the challenging mire relationships can be. The first season arrives to Netflix on February 19. [Nerdist]
Remember Me? Despite looking like it took place in New York City, Seinfeld was filmed in Studio City, California. Jerry Seinfeld takes his guest Garry Shandling by the studio lot in the next episode of Crackle’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and asks the gate guard, “Do you remember us?” I’m not positive why, but this is cracking me up.
