TV-Cap: SUPERNATURAL Welcomes LUCIFER and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Casts to Vancouver

Need to put a smile on your face? Picture a working environment where it’s possible for the Winchesters, Firestorm, Atom, and Lucifer to run into each other—because it could happen. Keep reading today’s TV-Cap to find about Supernatural, Lucifer, and Legends of Tomorrow working in the same studio, to get a look ahead at Season 3 of Sleepy Hollow, to watch a creepy clip with Jerome from next week’s Gotham, and more.

A Warm Welcome. Several Warner Bros. shows film in Vancouver, but Supernatural is the only show that regularly uses the Vancouver studios. They’re not alone anymore though! Lucifer and Legends of Tomorrow started using the same lot, so Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles decided to make a banner welcoming the freshman class. Aww! What will they all wear to homecoming? Bonus: Another look at Hawkgirl and Hawkman costumes! [Image: Bettina Strauss/Warner Bros. Television]

Yes But Then No. HBO’s success with Game of Thrones means they likely want to keep making it for as long as they can. There could possibly be a movie, and that rumor has circulated before. Recently, a tabloid reported George R.R. Martin was overheard at an Emmy after-party talking about a movie being in the works, but that he was not involved because he was too busy working on finishing A Song of Ice and Fire. However, Martin then confirmed on his blog that the rumor is false: “Yes, completely false. No one is working on any movie just now. And if there was a movie, it would not be about Robert’s Rebellion.” So, in case you wondered about the veracity of the rumor, now you know. [Nerdist and Slashfilm]

Sure, Why Not. The popular podcast Serial hosted by Sarah Koenig is headed to television, with Fox 21 Television Studios nabbing the rights. I’m not sure how the tension and storytelling the audio format gave the investigation will translate to a TV adaptation, but Christopher Miller and Phil Lord are on board as producers. Sure,, comedy is normally their thing, but wouldn’t it be neat to see them do something different? [Nerdist]

Roomies and a Box. Since Season 2 of Sleepy Hollow ended, nine months have passed in universe. Abbie has gone back to pursue her career as an agent with the FBI and Ichabod has returned to England to do some exploring, but trouble has brought the witnesses together again. This new clip shows off the big bad for Season 3, Pandora, and reveals that Ichabod and Abbie are now roommates. The Season 3 premiere airs tonight (Thursday) October 1, on Fox. [TVLine]

Motherly Tidbits. Thursday morning brings two updates about two different moms on two superhero shows on The CW. (Say that five times fast.) The Flash has cast Joe West’s wife and Iris West’s mother: Vanessa Williams will appear in the role in Season 2 of the series. Over on Arrow, Felicity Smoak’s mom, Donna, will be around more, with Charlotte Ross slated to appear in at least three episodes in Season 4 as opposed to the single episode we previously knew about. [Variety and TVLine]

The Most Powerful. PlayStation has cast the most powerful superhero in the Powers universe for Season 2 of the series. Michael Madsen will play SuperShock, a power that retired from superhero-ing at the height of his career, keeping to himself for 40 years. Mysteriously, the death of Retro Girl will bring him back into the public view. Season 2 will debut on the PlayStation Network in 2016. [Nerdist]

A Scary Talk. Jerome has quite the interaction ahead with his father in the next episode of Gotham. A clip from the episode that airs on October 5 shows things getting awfully… uncomfortable. By the way, what do you think of Cameron Monaghan’s take on Jerome? [Comic Book Resources]

Whale Returns. A fan asked David Anders a Once Upon a Time question during an iZombie Q&A this week, and Anders confirmed he will be returning to world of fairy tales. Dr. Whale, a.k.a. Victor Frankenstein, will appear at some point in Season 5. [TVLine]

It Starts with Murder. Jason Dohring is joining the cast of The Originals for Season 3 as Detective Will Kinney. The cop begins investigating a string of murders happening in the French Quarter and starts working with Cami to develop a profile of the killer. He eventually notices some weird, supernatural things are afoot—honestly, I’d worry about his detecting skills if he didn’t. [TV Fanatic]

Inhuman Central. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back, and they’ve returned with all the Inhumans. The Season 3 premiere didn’t kid around with the return, and the team is facing an Inhuman epidemic of sorts. Read Joseph’s review of the premiere and then watch the above video from the red carpet with Clarke Wolfe. she talks to the cast about the superpowers they wish they had, what they want to be for Halloween, and more.
