We’re a couple episodes into season six of Game of Thrones. It means we have most of the season to go and all the time in the world to speculate. Photos from the next episode give us room to do just that. See those Game of Thrones pics in today’s TV-Cap and also learn about Seth MacFarlane’s new sci-fi dramedy, see a pic of Kevin Smith directing The Flash, and more.
We’re Spoiled–Not That Kind of Spoiled. The preview for Sunday’s Game of Thrones, “Oathbreaker,” showed us the Tower of Joy is a thing that’s happening. But that’s not all. Pics from the episode help us theorize about the episode’s synopsis: “Daenerys meets her future. Bran meets the past. Tommen confronts the High Sparrow. Arya trains to be No One. Varys finds an answer. Ramsay gets a gift.” I’m really concerned about what Ramsay defines as a gift. See more pics and get Alicia’s expert analysis on them here at Nerdist. [Images: HBO]
Renewed. We’ll keep this short and sweet: Hulu has renewed Mindy Kaling’s The Mindy Project for a fifth season. They’ve haven’t announced the number of episodes yet. [The Hollywood Reporter]
Mild Game of Thrones spoilers ahead in the next couple of points, gang.
Who’s That Guy? Balon Greyjoy received a surprise visit in the last episode of Game of Thrones. It didn’t end so well for him. The man he met? Euron Greyjoy. Learn more about him and the Kingsmoot in the latest History of Thrones by our own Michael Walsh.
Deep Breaths. If you wanted to bring Lord Commander Jon Snow or any human being back to life what would it take? Sarah Keartes tackled this very topic for us in a new article. Read about some science that would be necessary for resurrection right this way. [Image: HBO]
Stop It, ALIE. Murphy has proved himself to be tougher than nails and everything else in season three of The 100. It’s been quite the transformation to watch. In Thursday night’s episode, he’s going to lead a charge against ALIE and I bet the above clip from the episode only has a taste of all the drama ahead. [TVLine]
No Second Guessing. Fox has given the go-ahead in the form of a 13 episode straight to series order to a new live-action series from Seth MacFarlane. He’s created a hour-long sci-fi dramedy set 300 years in the future. The story centers on the exploration and adventures of Orville, a less than amazing ship in Earth’s interstellar fleet. The unnamed series should debut in the 2017-2018 season. [Deadline]
Lost in Time. Next Tuesday’s episode of The Flash has a great name–“The Runaway Dinosaur”–and is directed by Kevin Smith. Following the second particle accelerator mishap, Barry is lost in time but that’s not all. Pics show him talking to his mother Nora. Hmm. See more pictures from the episode at Comic Book Resources. Brotherly Stuff. Wednesday night on The CW was all about brothers and god. John and Andy worked through some problems in Arrow; read Sydney’s recap of “Genesis.” Dean and Sam finally learned who God is and met him in Supernatural; read my recap of “Don’t Call Me Shurley.”
What or who do you think Ramsay will receive as a gift? What are your theories on what’s happening with Barry? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
