TV-Cap: New GAME OF THRONES Episode Descriptions Tease All of Us

How is everyone who watched Game of Thrones last night doing? I feel a little queasy and sad and am even less prepared to face Monday than I usually am. Let’s distract ourselves, shall we? Read today’s TV-Cap to skip ahead and read synopses for upcoming episodes of Thrones, to find out about Ewan McGregor in Fargo, and to see some snazzy VFX for The Flash.

All Men Must Guess. We’re at the halfway point for season six of Game of Thrones. How did it come to this already? Episodes six and seven are up next, and HBO has released descriptions that somehow manage to out-vague the previous ones. It’s a special talent, apparently. “Blood of My Blood” comes with this summary: “An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce).” And then “The Broken Man” keeps the High Sparrow fun going: “The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded.” Will the North remember?! Read all of Alicia’s thoughts on episodes six and seven right here at Nerdist.

To Great Effect. The nature of The Flash means visual effects are a regular part of the series. Series VFX supervisor Armen Kevorkian breaks some of them down in a new reel shared by The CW. It’s rad to watch simply for the before and after shots and also because the video gives a peek at the upcoming season two finale. Who’s ready for a race? [Nerdist]

More Lawyering. Jeri Hogarth strikes me as the sort of woman who will always bounce back. We saw her face hell in Jessica Jones but then saw her back in action, cool and calm as ever, in season two of Daredevil. Carrie-Anne Moss will be reprising the role of Hogarth in Iron Fist, too. [Nerdist]

At an End. Damien got one season on A&E, and that’s all it will have. The network has cancelled the horror series; series executive producer confirmed the news on Friday via Twitter. [TVLine]

Blessed. Know who’s coming to Fargo? Ewan McGregor. Yep. And not only that, McGregor is taking on the role of the two leads for season three. The characters will apparently be quite different in personality and appearance. And in other news, sounds like I need to catch up on Fargo. [Nerdist]

Fly Into the Sunset. Legends of Tomorrow wrapped its first season last week. From the outset, the superhero team-up series was described as somewhat of an anthology, meaning different characters would rotate in and out. Kendra Saunders, a.k.a. Hawkgirl, will tap out in season two, and so will Hawkman. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Deadline, “After 4000 years, they were no longer under the specter of Vandal, and we felt they need some time off. Bringing them back to the team as soon as the the beginning of Season 2 felt premature.” Read more of Guggenheim’s comments at Deadline. [Image: The CW, LoTsource]

Don’t Wait! Cinemax’s Outcast doesn’t premiere until June 3, but you can watch the first episode in its entirety right now thanks to the magical combination of marketing and YouTube. Cinemax has published the initial installment on YouTube and Facebook so you can get your demonic fix right this very instant. [Nerdist]

Oh My Stars. If you thought the weekend was a time to catch up on your DVR backlog, you’re so wrong. Cable networks drop all sorts of quality episodes on Saturday and Sunday, and you don’t want to miss them. Case in point? We have recaps for Outlander (tragedy strikes), Fear the Walking Dead (kidnapping), Preacher (series premiere), and Game of Thrones (I can’t talk about it).

What theories do you have about the next two episodes of Game of Thrones? Share them in the comments.
