TV-Cap: MYST Is Headed to Hulu, ONCE UPON A TIME Season Finale Photos, & More

Who watched The Flash last night? Because there was a giant CGI telepathic gorilla on television, and it didn’t look completely ridiculous. I was actually scared. We live in glorious times, friends. Now, if we can just get the team at S.T.A.R. Labs to install a security system… With Grodd talk out of the way, it’s time to look ahead. See a new clip from tonight’s Arrow, look at photos from the mirror universe Once Upon a Time season finale, and more!

The Tables Turn. The world is turning upside down in the Once Upon a Time Season 4 finale. Thanks to some meddling by the Author, the villains are becoming heroes and vice versa. That means the two hour event (“Operation Mongoose, Part 1 and Part 2”) will give characters like Snow White the chance to wear extra fabulous costumes and to act in ways we’re not used to seeing. A new clip at TVLine shows a heroic Regina stopping a super evil Snow White–she can make fireballs now! When you’re done watching the video, visit Give Me My Remote to see a gallery of pictures from the episode.

Puzzles on Hulu. Please tell me I’m not the only one who spent hours attempting to navigate the world of Myst. I say attempting because I usually failed. Anyway! A drama series based on Cyan Worlds’ Myst is on its way to Hulu. The project from Legendary Television, producer Matt Tolmach, and writer Evan Daugherty has received a script to series commitment. Oh, the possibilities of seeing the island of Myst brought to life. The story will look at the origins of the island. [Deadline]

Scent Pusher. Showtime’s Masters of Sex has added Josh Charles for Season 3. Charles’ character, Daniel Logan, already has my attention. According to EW, Logan is “a self-made businessman working in the scent industry. In an attempt to bottle the smell of sex and market an aphrodisiac to the general public, Dan seeks out Masters (Michael Sheen) and Johnson’s (Lizzy Caplan) expertise on desire.” Because of course. I can’t help but think of Dennis Feinstein in Parks and Recreation. [EW]

A Blank Slate. Ruh-roh. That’s the only word to describe Arrow these days. The penultimate episode of Season 3 airs tonight, and Oliver must take the final steps towards becoming the next Ra’s al Ghul. One of those tasks involves wiping out Starling City. The above clip reveals where Ra’s got his super powerful weapon. Watch Oliver’s face when he finds out–it convinces me he’s not fully assimilated. [CBR]

A Beat-Up City. Did Gotham City survive the gang war between Falcone and Maroni? The first season of Gotham wrapped this Monday, and it tied most of the loose ends. Read Joseph’s recap of “All Happy Families Are Alike” and review what happened.

A Different World. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley was one of those required reading books in high school I didn’t mind crossing off the list. The science fiction story paints a picture of a rich but controlled world, and now, it’s coming to Syfy. Brave New World will be adapted by Les Bohem (Taken) as a scripted series for Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. Yes, please! [The Hollywood Reporter]

You Think We Need Two More? Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s TV adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s comic Preacher has gained two more recurring cast members. Married couple Betsy Schenck and Donny Schenck will be played by Jamie Anne Allman and Derek Wilson. The characters aren’t in the comics, and given that the series features Jesse traveling around, I’m not sure how the recurring part will fit in–we’ll have to wait and see. [/Film]

Leda and Castor for Real. Are we ready for an actual Clone Club a la Orphan Black? Joe Hanson tackles the topic of cloning in the latest It’s Okay to Be Smart, and it turns out we’re getting closer and closer. [Nerdist]

A Masked Arya. Remember how Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams is appearing on the next season of Doctor Who? Photos of her on set have recently popped up, and she has quite the mysterious costume. She sort of looks like a bandit mixed with a pirate. Take a look at the images at Vulture.

Which hero do you want to see go bad on this week’s Once Upon a Time? Leave your predictions in the comments.
