Period Comedy: Riki Lindhome and Natasha Leggero have teamed up to bring a brand new series to Comedy Central for the summer. Following Inside Amy Schumer at 10:30 on June 23rd, the premiere episode follows the lives of the Bellacourts. Natasha appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this week to describe the Bellacourts (as well as the show itself) as what would happen if The Kardashians were to have existed in Downton Abbey. A family reaching for stardom by any venue possible, long before a time when Instagram photos and sex tapes could be the quickest means to that end. At last night’s Los Angeles premiere for the series, the cast was on hand for photos on the red carpet. Chelsea Peretti shared her own snaps of the cast on Instagram. +5 Influence to those Channing Tatum pants, Chels.

MAH BABY: Lifetime has been heavy on the self-aware content lately. From last Christmas’ Grumpy Cat movie starring the vocal talents of Aubrey Plaza, to the new scripted series UnReal which pulls back the curtain and paints a vicious picture of how reality romance shows get made, they’re not shying away from being in on the joke. The proof is in the pudding with the below trailer for A Deadly Adoption, starring Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell. The two starred last year in IFC’s absurdist melodrama The Spoils of Babylon and it would appear they’re bringing their wide-eyed intensity to the TV movie about, well, a deadly adoption. [Variety]

Sitcom, Directors Cut: Thanks to being picked up by Hulu after Fox’s cancelation, the writers of The Mindy Project are feeling much more confident that they’ll be able to take more liberties to craft better stories for the Mindy Kaling-led comedy. Hulu ordered 26 episodes, which will be split into two 13-episode chapters. It’s all very cable of them, having a hiatus with which to build to a half-season cliffhanger. [Hollywood Reporter]

Facebook, the channel? Amazon is airing its latest acquired series on Facebook for two whole, free days before adding it to its Prime streaming service. The British Channel 4-produced Catastrophe, from funny folks Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan, is getting its stateside broadcast from Amazon. The series stars Delany and Horgan, alongside Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fischer.  [Hollywood Reporter]

Watch More Zombies: iZombie just wrapped up and we have a postmortem ready for you. The spiritual successor to shows like Buffy (reruns coming to ABC Family soon) and Veronica Mars has been renewed for a second season and it’s worth a watch. [Nerdist]

The Night Is Dark And Full Of Theories: What sorts of feels did Sunday’s Game of Thrones leave you with? Are you ready for the finale this coming weekend? Head to our season finale preview post to speculate wildly (like Wildlings) about what is coming up not just in the finale, but in the seasons to come! [Nerdist]

Warner Bros. and DC Comics Dominating Comic-Con: While the collective public eye has been focused on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC has snuck in and thrown shows onto multiple networks all while getting ready for a superhero extravaganza on the big screen. Marvel went so far as to not bother attending San Diego’s Nerd Mecca this year (allegedly) because of the sheer amount of panels focused on DC properties. Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Gotham, iZombie, and the upcoming Titans/Blackbirds are going to be the highly buzzed-about comic book-based shows this year.
