It’s kind of a great day when I get to write about zombies, superheroes, sharks, and cannibals. That combination comes up more than you might imagine. Today’s TV-Cap has all of those things because there are new and scary clips for Fear the Walking Dead, concept art for Legends of Tomorrow, an update on the possible fourth season of Hannibal, and more.
Basically Everyone. The stars of the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow are numerous. The series will have heroes such as White Canary and the Atom, villains like Captain Cold and Vandal Savage, and time traveler Rip Hunter. We won’t see the first episode until 2016, but I think it’s a safe guess to say there will be a lot going on. Showrunner Phil Klemmer told Entertainment Weekly, “It’s going to be total madness.” I like madness, and I like seeing a taste of it on display in the above concept art. Note the image features Firestorm even though Robbie Amell’s Ronnie Raymond hasn’t been confirmed for the series. [/Film]
Zero Zombies. The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney will be taking on a much different role in Season 3 of Masters of Sex. She’s been added to the line-up as a recurring character. Kinney will be playing Nora, Bill and Libby’s former neighbor and a volunteer “sex surrogate.” The new season will premiere on Showtime on July 12. [TVLine]
Stark Is Back. Is it time for Season 2 of Agent Carter yet? Are you prepared for me to ask that question a million times until next January? I can’t wait. And I’m even more excited now because in addition to the return of Edwin Jarvis and Daniel Sousa, it looks like Howard Stark will also be back and tangled up in Peggy Carter’s life to some extent. Hayley Atwell mentioned the character in an interview with Den of Geek: “There will be repetition of characters. So Jarvis and Howard will be there with us again. Yeah, we can’t have a show without those guys.” Yes, please. [Cinema Blend]
Hooked on a Feeling. Raise your hands if you need more Groot, Gamora, and Rocket Raccoon in your life–and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy team too, I guess. You’re in luck because the Guardians animated series will premiere on Disney XD on September 26. I’m a fan of the animation style seen in the poster, and I look forward to seeing actual footage. A Bizarre Tale. NBC’s Aquarius is taking on one of the creepiest true crime stories there is by telling the story of Charles Manson. David Duchovny, Gethin Anthony, and Claire Holt star in the crime series and Joseph McCabe spoke with them as well as executive producer John McNamara on what makes the show different, on shooting locations, and more. New Man in Town. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has signed on to play a series regular for Season 7 of The Good Wife. According to Deadline, Morgan will play Alex, “a calm, experienced hourly investigator whom Alicia (Julianna Margulies) hires.” He’s also a series regular on CBS’s Extant. [Deadline]

Bummer. I’m so sorry, Hannibal fans, but I have another piece of bad news about the series today. Bryan Fuller has tweeted that neither Amazon or Netflix are grabbing the thriller for a fourth season. On an optimistic note, he said they’re still investigating possibilities. He’s been frank thus far so there’s no reason not to believe him. Keep your fingers crossed. [Variety]
Team-Up. Agent Carter got a snazzy new poster for Comic-Con, but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t being left out. Artist Jim Cheung created a poster for Season 3 of the series, and it will be available on the Marvel booth (#2329) while supplies last. [ComicBook.com]
Drooling in Paris. The second season of Starz’s Outlander is poised to take over Paris, and among many things, that means new costumes. Yes, this is a point to get supremely excited about when you have a designer as talented as Terry Dresbach behind the scenes. Entertainment Weekly (EW) shared two photos that offer the first glimpse of the new location and Jamie and Claire’s new style, and their outfits are positively gorgeous–opulent, even. EW also spoke with executive producer Ron D. Moore to get hints about what’s ahead in Season 2. Read what he had to say at their website.
It’s Happening. Two short clips for Fear the Walking Dead hint at the worst. The United States is on the precipice of the outbreak and seeing the world pre-apocalypse is already giving me the chills–especially the clip with the girl in the pool. [Comic Book Resources]
Shark Bandwagon. In case, like me, you’re scared of the ocean and tune out all mentions of Shark Week, the annual event is happening on the Discovery Channel right now. It’s a popular attraction for the network, and others don’t hesitate to latch onto the fishy boost. Hannibal Buress appeared on Conan and showed off the Shark Week tie-in promos he’s doing for Why? With Hannibal Buress. His new series will premiere July 8, but you shouldn’t decide whether you want to watch it based on his Shark Week promos. [Nerdist]
