It’s been a four day week with five days of work jammed into it, and I’m ready to spend quality time binging television this weekend. Who’s with me? Vague and Beautiful. Marvel’s next Netflix series, Jessica Jones, will debut on November 20. All the episodes will arrive on the streaming service on that day ready for binging. The first teaser has that announcement and also plenty of lovely and dreamy imagery without any specifics — just a promise that it’s time the world knows Jessica Jones’ name. [Nerdist]
From Hannibal to American Gods. Bryan Fuller and Michael Green’s adaptation of American Gods will premiere on Starz in 2017 — please pause a moment to appreciate how 2017 isn’t so far away — and Fuller is bringing someone from Hannibal to the team. David Slade will direct the pilot and “several more episodes” of the show. [Deadline]
Reactivating Deadites. Beginning on Halloween, Bruce Campbell’s Ash Williams will be on your television every week for ten weeks. Who would have thought we’d get more of that story? If you’ve been itching for more specifics on Starz’s Ash vs. Evil Dead, the titles and synopses for the first nine episodes have been released. Fighting the Darkness. We’ve already seen a sizzle reel for season four of Arrow, but a new trailer shows a little new footage. You can clearly see Diggle’s disguise in action and see that Oliver Queen was apparently going to propose to Felicity Smoak before he got pulled back into action. And then there’s that Damien Darhk guy. Arrow is back on October 7. [Comic Book Resources]
Undead Dedication. Don’t worry fans of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R.R. Martin won’t let a small thing like death keep him from working on the series. The author proved his dedication in a cameo for season two of Z Nation. Martin will appear as a zombie version of himself at a book signing. Martin says, “I just want to prove to my fans that even in the Zombie Apocalypse, the Song of Ice and Fire books will still come out!” Whew. [Entertainment Weekly]
Avoid This Hotel. American Horror Story: Hotel is all about the teases. We’ve seen several photos of the cast and videos with a few seconds of footage, but now, there’s a more complete trailer showing the full cast. It’s only thirty seconds, but a lot is packed into those thirty seconds and you can use the hints to start putting the stroy together. Hotel debuts on October 7. [Nerdist]
Believing Early. New York Comic Con attendees would have been lining up for a panel about The X-Files revival regardless of what Fox promised for the event, but now? They’ll be making it a must see. Fox will host an advanced screening of the first episode (called “My Struggle”) on October 10 followed by a Q&A with David Duchovny and creator Chris Carter. [Variety]
Have Some Blood. The Darkness is coming to Season 11 of Supernatural, and the trailer is making it look like the upcoming season will be the bloodiest yet. Castiel’s still under the influence of Rowena’s spell, Sam looks like he’s being taken over by the Darkness, and just about everyone in the main cast is dealing with some kind of torture. [Nerdist]
Not So Immortal? Klaus Mikaelson is a force of nature — he doesn’t need the pointy teeth and incredible strength to be intimidating. The leader of the Mikaelson family was last seen rescuing his daughter and making everyone angry (he does that reasonably often). A trailer for season three of The Originals shows that not a ton has changed, and that Freya is especially upset. Is always and forever really and truly done? [TV Fanatic]
