By the time the end of New York Comic Con rolled around in October, everyone was exhausted. Gotham was one of the last panels to wrap up at the convention, and one moment rejuvenated the crowd: Robin Lord Taylor announcing Paul Reubens would be playing Oswald Cobblepot’s father. Lord Taylor’s excitement and enthusiasm about the news was infectious. Predictions and Theories. Spring is coming, and spring means the return of Game of Thrones. Season six is going to go off book since the HBO series has outpaced George R.R. A Lack of Twins. Netflix’s Fuller House includes many of the actors reprising their roles from the original series, but not the Olsen twins. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen played Michelle Tanner back in the day, but they’re not returning. John Stamos appeared on The Howard Stern Show and told him the twins said, “They seemed very into [Fuller House]; they just were afraid of acting. They hadn’t acted; they don’t consider themselves actresses.” Huh. Fair enough. The reboot even went to the trouble of asking the twins’ sister Elizabeth Olsen to appear on the show. [Slashfilm]

Real Estate Listing Promo. Adult Swim has set a premiere date for season six of The Venture Bros. Finally! The eight-episode arc will debut on January 31, and the synopsis for the upcoming season is written as a fancy real estate listing touting The Venture Bros. as “a billionaire’s dream come true, offering the discerning buyer top-of-the-line drama and panoramic danger in every direction. Super-scientists, bring your loofah!” Now I want to visit a science-y penthouse. [Comic Book Resources]

One More Round. Girls is about ready to take its final bow. The sixth season of the Brooklyn-set comedy will be its last. Series creator and star Lena Dunham has mentioned the timeline before, so it seems to be a decision that works for both sides of the table. [Deadline]

A Penguin and His Father. Paul Reubens is dropping by Gotham for a fatherly visit. He’s playing Oswald Cobblepot’s dad for the first time in the series and the second time overall (he took on the role in Batman Returns). Gotham showrunner Danny Cannon shared a photo of Reubens on set alongside Robin Lord Taylor, and I must say that Reubens looks quite dapper. [Comic Book Resources]

Time to Move On? Doctor Who is a series all about change—no TV show has recast its central character so many times. Given that, the idea of a new showrunner doesn’t sound so bad. Steven Moffat talked to Radio Times and said he is “actively engaged in” looking for someone to take the helm after he leaves. He didn’t mention a time frame, but a departure seems to be on his mind. The Hunt Is On. Fantasy on MTV. What will they think of next, kids? The Shannara Chronicles debuted on Tuesday with a two-hour installment, and the adaptation of Terry Brooks’ The Elfstones of Shannara jumped right into the thick of it. Forget Rules. When you put villains and superheroes together to save the world, you can all but guarantee thinking out of the box and crossing over the line will happen. Probably multiple lines. In other words, we’re probably in for a treat when The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres on January 21. Two new promos highlight breaking the rules and Hawkman. So Much DreamWorks. Netflix is moving full steam ahead with DreamWorks Animation. They already have cartoons based on DreamWork’s animated flicks on their streaming service, but they’ll be pursuing more in 2016. Titles include a reimagining of Voltron (yes, that Voltron), and a cartoon based on Trollhunters, a young adult book by Guillermo del Toro and Daniel Kraus. Sign. Me. Up.
