With the premiere of season four of Orphan Black, Thursday night has (once again) become more of a must-see night of television. We’ll catch you up on the latest events with Clone Club in today’s TV-Cap, and we’ll also discuss new cast members for American Gods, the possibility of Game of Thrones switching to shorter seasons, a revision to Ian Somerhalder’s comments about the end of The Vampire Diaries, and more.
Do Not Want. The story of Westeros isn’t over, but we’re approaching the end. Game of Thrones co-creator David Benioff talked to Variety and said, “I think weâre down to our final 13 episodes after this season. Weâre heading into the final lap. Thatâs the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but thatâs what weâre looking at.” Since that number isn’t 20, they have to decide how to split them up. They might do a seventh season with seven episodes and an eighth and final season with six episodes. None of this is official and HBO certainly hasn’t released this news, but just be sure to spend even more time savoring the new episodes of season six. [Nerdist]
On Feminism. Orphan Black is a strong series that puts an emphasis on its female leads. It’s all about the clones, and Tatiana Maslany is the superheroine who plays them all. Our own Alicia Lutes visited the set of the show in Toronto and talked to Maslany about feminism, among other things. Check it out in the video above. [Nerdist]
A Clarification. The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder appeared at Walker Stalker Con on Sunday and mentioned they were were doing one last season of the show. Apparently that statement was not entirely accurate. He released a statement on Twitter blaming his end-of-season foggy brain and cautioned that no decisions about the fate of the series have been made yet. You can read his comments at Twitter. Pilot to Series. Spike recently placed a pilot order for a show based on Stephen King’s The Mist, and now they’ve moved forward with a full series order. Production is set to begin in summer 2016. [Deadline]
Welcome to Annville, TX…#PREACHER is coming Sunday, May 22.https://t.co/KygBJZXwIQ

Literally on Fire. Annville, Texas will be burning when AMC’s Preacher debuts on My 22. A promo for the upcoming adaptation of the comics by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon shows the road to Jesse’s church is all kinds of lit up. [Nerdist]
Another Pick Up. Everyone gets a series today…Â and by everyone, I mean two people. TNT has officially ordered ten episodes of M. Night Shyamalan’s Tales from the Crypt. It will have the anthology element like the first version of the show and will include the Crypt Keeper. Prepare for scares because it will premiere in fall 2016. [Comic Book Resources]
Much Talent, Very Actor, Wow. The Starz adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods keeps stacking up the talent. They’ve cast Crispin Glover as Mr. World and Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith, a.k.a. Loki. Oh man, is it time for this series to be in our eyeballs yet? [Nerdist]
A Born Soldier. The Expanse has cast a key role for its second season. The Syfy series has nabbed Frankie Adams to play Bobbie Draper. She’s a nationalist put between the middle of the fight between Earth and Mars and is forced to figure out where her loyalties lie.
Fake and Real. Travel shows are a thing, but what about fake travel? That’s sort of happening in Hidden America with Jonah Ray. The show from Seeso takes Ray on a ride where “the places are real, but the people are not.” For example, the above video shows Ray visiting a San Francisco restaurant run by an actor from Fresh Off the Boat. The series kicks off at Seeso on June 2. [Nerdist]
