TV-Cap: FLASH Images, SLEEPY HOLLOW Renewed, and More

It’s Daenerys’ world, and we’re all just living in it—that was my takeaway from Sunday’s Game of Thrones. But, Sunday is over and it’s time to dive into another week. Let’s kick it off with some television news catch-up, shall we? Read today’s TV-Cap to read about Sleepy Hollow, to learn what Marvel show ABC passed on, to see images from the penultimate episode of season two of The Flash, and more.

Look Who’s Back. The Flash has almost raced through season two. This Tuesday will see the penultimate episode, “Invincible,” air. Zoom’s metahuman army is ready to cause mayhem in Central City and said army includes Black Canary’s Earth-2 doppelganger, Black Siren. And somehow Reverb and Killer Frost are back? Renew and Pass. With upfronts kicking off this week, a few networks have announced their decisions about cancelations and renewals for next season. So, here are some updates you might be concerned with: Fox surprisingly renewed Sleepy Hollow for a fourth season, NBC ordered The Blacklist spinoff starring Famke Janssen, and ABC passed on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff Marvel’s Most Wanted. Saving America. Speaking of new shows for a new season, NBC picked a time travel drama called Timeless from Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke. It will air on Mondays at 10:00p.m. after The Voice. They’ve released the first trailer for the series, and the stakes look high. Can’t say I’m looking forward to the inevitable discussions about how changing the past affects the timeline though. The Road Ahead. Jeremy Carver is driving away from his showrunner duties on Supernatural next season and moving to Frequency, another show on The CW. The reins will be picked up by Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer in season 11. [Comic Book Resources]

Reborn. Stopping Gotham’s Fish Mooney is no easy feat. Jada Pinkett Smith returns as the villain in Monday’s episode, airing May 16. As the above video shows, Fish’s resurrection isn’t the only problem ahead for those who care about the city. [Nerdist]

Giving Up the Goods. Kit Harington appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and opened up about keeping the big secret about Jon Snow’s fate Game of Thrones quiet. He said it wasn’t easy to not share the news and divulged the plan to people close to them and also to a police officer in order to avoid getting a ticket for speeding. Because why wouldn’t you? Go Back in Time. What happened in the past isn’t necessarily over. Nah, when it comes to the weekend’s big television happenings, you can relive them by reading our recaps. We have them for Outlander (dueling!), Game of Thrones (dragons!), and Fear the Walking Dead (safety, sort of?).

Were you surprised to learn Sleepy Hollow got renewed? Let me know your thoughts on that and everything else from todays’ TV-Cap in the comments.
