TV-Cap: Agent May Cleans House in New AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Clip

Get comfortable with your preferred method of caffeine delivery because we have so much to discuss in today’s TV-Cap. We’ve got casting news a plenty, teases galore, and if you want videos, we have 20… okay, not quite 20 but there are several. Watch a teaser for Season 2 of Daredevil, see the Jessica Jones cast talk female relationships in the series, watch Agent Melinda May kick ass, and much more.

Taking Care of Business. Agent Melinda May is going to be teaming up with Lance Hunter to go after Grant Ward, and we’ll see her take charge in tonight’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Well, May always takes charge, but she’s particularly awesome in this clip. No one knocks out thugs like May. [Variety]

Get Your Cape On! New York Comic Con (NYCC) saw the premiere of two more episodes of DC Super Hero Girls–episodes two and three–and I’m completely charmed. The web series about Super Hero High and its students packs in a ton of fun, and I’m thrilled to see an all-ages story about the ladies of DC. [Nerdist]

Baby Hook. Once Upon a Time executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis appeared at NYCC and teased some tidbits for Season 5. We’ll meet Hook’s father in flashbacks before the midseason break and see a very young Hook. They also will be pausing for that break earlier than usual. Horowitz said they’ll air 10 nights with a two-hour episode on November 15 (Merida will be back in that episode and so will Mulan and Ruby!), and then the show will return in March with its 100th episode. [TVLine]

The Beginning. Season 6 of The Walking Dead premiered on Sunday, and that means it’s time for reviews to come shambling forth. Joseph McCabe will be discussing every episode right here on Nerdist, starting with “First Time Again.” As long as you watched the Season 6 premiere, head right this way for the review. Then take a minute and read Rachael Berkey’s interview with Lauren Cohan.

Time for More Mysteries. If you’re dying to know more about Jane Doe/Taylor Shaw, you’re in luck. NBC has picked up a full season of Blindspot. The show airs on Mondays at 10:00pm. [TV Fanatic]

Meet Everyone. The Warner Bros. TV presentation at NYCC delivered a pile of presents, including a sizzle reel for Season 2 of The Flash. It has plenty of Zoom and also basically everyone: Kendra Saunders, Vandal Savage, and Jay Garrick. Bonus: a scene with The Flash latte art. I’m dying. [Nerdist]

Jumping Around. It’s apparent that Arrow’s Damien Darhk is a force to be reckoned with. Neal McDonough is already a delight to watch in the role, and he revealed at NYCC that Darhk will appear in Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. Given his level of big badness, that makes total sense. [Comic Book Resources]

The Opposite of a Non-Problem. CBS’s Supergirl will see Kara Danvers facing off against new threats each episode, and that means the villain roster is lengthy. Another name has been added to the list: Chris Vance. He’ll have a recurring role as Non. The villain from the comic books is “a former scientist in a league with the House of El. Non is a brutal Kryptonian military officer who is sinister, powerful and angry.” [The Hollywood Reporter]

The Work Isn’t Done. Season 2 of Daredevil is coming to Netflix sometime in 2016, and we know a couple of things. Those couple of things are named Elektra and Punisher. A tease from NYCC shows the briefest of glimpses of those two characters, and there’s also a sizzle reel that looks back at Season 1. I’m ready to rewatch the series now. [Slashfilm]

Including Outcast. Robert Kirkman, Patrick Fugit, and Chris Black stopped in the middle of NYCC craziness to speak with Dan Casey about Outcast. They tease what’s ahead and also discuss raptors–because, why wouldn’t you? [Nerdist]

Another Dose. Bradley Cooper is returning for an appearance in CBS’s Limitless later this month. He first played Edward Morra in the film of the same name and reprised the role in the pilot episode. He’ll be back on October 27 to offer Brian Finch–Limitless’s lead–another inoculation to stop the side effects of the brain-enhancing drug. [Variety]

Friends and Adversaries. We’re just over a month away from the premiere of Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix! Yay! Marvel presented the pilot at NYCC and brought some cast members for a Q&A. Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Rachael Taylor stopped by Marvel Live! and discussed the relationships between the women on the series–both friendly and unfriendly. [Nerdist]

Are you looking forward to Jessica Jones? What do you think of The Walking Dead Season 6 premiere? Let me know in the comments.
