TOKYOPOP: Cosplay Friday #26

Hey, there! Yeah, you! You’ve had a rough week, huh? Well, it’s almost over. We’ve got a guaranteed way to make it better though. Don’t believe us? Well, you should because it’s TOKYOPOP’s Cosplay Friday, your one-stop shop for the best cosplay from around the web. Sit back, relax and scroll down for the untold costumed wonders that you’ve been missing out on.

TrustOurWorldNow shows us where Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist) goes to think when someone calls him short.

Shioji steps out as Prince Ashitaka (Princess Mononoke) with the wolfishly charming San in tow. Wait, wait, put that bow down – we just wanted a picture.

Another-Rose does the impossible and brings Mario’s favorite dinosaur pal, Yoshi, to life.

The family that inhabits a nightmarish underwater city together (BioShock), harvests genetic material from unsuspecting targets together.

Oh, my – it seems that the Super Soldier Serum affected Steve Rogers so deeply that he’s now Stephanie Rogers. Big ups to karenkasumimatsumoto.

Shhh, be very, very quiet! We’ve spotted the rare Princess Tutu cosplay in the wild thanks to SoranoSuzu.

Did I sleep through then news of a live-action Fate/Stay Night adaptation? No? It’s just Calssara’s excellent Saber cosplay? Great.

In regard to Priestess-Shizuka’s excellent Tifa (Final Fantasy VII) cosplay, we’ll let Barrett Wallace speak for us: “Damn!”

We keep telling Mostflogged that the ocean is an impractical place to play violin, but she keeps saying, “Super Sailor Neptune don’t give a shit! Super Sailor Neptune does what she wants!”

Hey, watch where you’re pointing that thing, Knightess-Rouge! Just kidding – we love the throwback Barbara Gordon/Batgirl look.

    And yes it’s normal

  3. Domi says:

Speaking from a girl cosplay who’s gone to otakon 3 times plus this years I can tell you cosplay and cross playing for girls is very common every year there’s about half and half of each group plus just as common for guys as well. I switch constantly I was hawkeye one year and schrodinger from hellsing the next this year is terezi pyrope from homestuck and fem!dante from DmC

  4. Xeroz says:

    Amazing posts ‘as usual’.

    Quick question though:
Is it normal to find the women who are cross-playing as male characters just as attractive as the women cos-playing women characters?
