TITANFALL 2 Teaser Drops, Full Reveal Coming in June

Prepare for Titanfall… again/em>!

A new teaser trailer for EA and Respawn‘s Titanfall 2 has dropped this morning. Aside from announcing that a full reveal is coming in June, the incredibly short clip doesn’t reveal much besides a look at the blade that mechs will be wielding in-game. Also, as the developer and publisher have mentioned before, this new installment will not be an Xbox One exclusive. Unlike its predecessor, it’ll be making its way to the PlayStation 4– as well as to the Xbox One and Windows PC. Now everyone can summon cool mechs from the sky! Take a gander at the clip above.

Though there’s not much to dissect in the video, the voice over is rather interesting. The male voice talks about how “people like you” always want to be the hero. This definitely hints at what kind of plot will be included in the single-player campaign that Respawn’s Jesse Stern promised in a previous interview.

This announcement comes as no surprise– the developer has been talking about their next Titanfall installment for quite some time now. We just didn’t know what it was going to be called or whether it would really make its way to PlayStation. No doubt the multi-platform transition is inspired by the massive PS4 install base, which now sits somewhere close to 36 million people. Choosing to place it on more consoles means that Titanfall has a better chance of becoming the Call of Duty killer that EA desperately wants it to be.

Are you guys excited to get back into the cockpit? Are you one of the many PS4 owners who missed out on the first game? Will you be playing this? What other features do you hope to see in this release? Let us know in the comments below!
