Have I ever mentioned how much of a sucker I am for really good time lapse video?
This is really good time lapse video of Manhattan:
It’s the product of Josh Owens, who is very good at this. Some of the shots — the ones, especially, where the camera moves out from the ledge to directly over the street — are just breathtaking. I’ll be in New York later in the week, and this video is serving as a nice appetizer.
beautifull video!
The one thing that kept me going day after day in NYC was how beautiful and crazy it was. No matter how exhausted and crazy I felt I could always look at that skyline and feel like I was a part of something bigger than myself and whatever I was feeling.
Love these! This is a promotional video for the Arts Academy at my high school we did my junior year! I had nothing to do with it, other than appearing at random times, and it’s on my friend’s vimeo page, but you all might enjoy it!

Those panning shots are really impressive. I wonder what goes into doing something like that.
I’m going to NYC in September. This has me so excited.
Oooh, me too! I love this fun time lapse video of a dance rehearsal: http://www.vimeo.com/24266694
Sir those of us with Canon 7D (non-humble brag) invite you in the DSLR video pool. It’s really easy to get started and it will blow your mind what you can shoot with very little knowledge.
I’m going to do my first Time Lapse at a local balloon festival this fall (they launch right before dawn).
wow..that was gorgeous
Love it, I too am a sucker for a good timelaps. It is very time consuming and looks sooooo amazing. This guy Is a real pro.
This stunning video just made my day. Breathtaking. Beautiful. Inspiring. I will live in NYC one day. And I will be in the city this wknd.
