Three-Hour Video Showcases All The Nintendo Start Screens You Didn’t Know You Wanted To See

Have three hours? Then you have time to watch a supercut displaying the start screen from every game made for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in alphabetical order. The video, called “Press Start” by YouTube user NicksplosionFX, may fulfill your nostalgic feelings from the internet quota for the day, or even the week.

I don’t want to think about how long it took to piece this collection together. Even if the video doesn’t include every single NES game as the creator claims, it includes hundreds of titles (I’m surprised no one has taken the time yet to count the screens). One of the coolest parts is that he didn’t just include images. Music from the respective game accompanies each start screen. The combination makes for a mesmerizing trip down memory lane and through gaming history.

If you don’t feel like gluing yourself to the screen to view the entire compilation, it’s worth checking out just a few minutes to appreciate the sheer volume of NES games. I’d also keep it in mind for parties. The string of game screens could run in the background and people like me who are bad at socializing could sit on the couch and watch.

How many of the games featured in the supercut have you played?

That youtube preview reminds me of nemulator (http://nemulator.com). Bonus for bad socializers: when you see an intro you like, you can play too.
