Thrawn Attacks in STAR WARS REBELS Season Finale Trailer and More TV News

If you watch Star Wars Rebels and are all caught up, you’re likely processing a lot of emotions. It looks like that might continue with the season three finale. I have an intense trailer for you in today’s TV-Cap, along with news about the villain for season four of The Flash, a photo from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 revival, and more.

The End of the Rebellion? Grand Admiral Thrawn has figured out the location of Chopper Base in Star Wars Rebels. I mean, it was only a matter of time, right? I hope this doesn’t mean Agent Kallus, a.k.a. Fulcrum, is dead. Anyway, the season three finale will see Thrawn launch an all-out attack. He hopes to bring an end to the Rebellion. We know that doesn’t happen, but the trailer looks like Serious Business. Ezra even goes to Sabine to get help from the Mandalorians. This sounds cruel, but I hope they raise the stakes and drive home the peril by killing off a member of the Ghost crew or someone we know in the battle. My bet’s on Captain Rex. What do you think? The finale airs Saturday, March 25.

Moving In. California’s going to become the home to four more TV series. The Affair, The OA, Legion, and Lucifer are all moving from places like New York and Vancouver to California, most likely to the Los Angeles area. [The Hollywood Reporter]

So Evil. The return of Mystery Science Theater 3000 is nigh, and Felicia Day recently shared a picture of her and Patton Oswalt looking mischievous in the series. They’re the new Mads/bad guys in the series. Day is Kinga Forrester, and Oswalt plays TV’s Son of TV’s Frank. The MST3K revival will arrive on Netflix on April 14. [Twitter]

No Speedster. Finally. Season four of The Flash will not have a speedster as the villain. It’s about freaking time. The news comes from PaleyFest‘s DCTV universe panel. Series executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed they’ll be presenting Barry with a different kind of challenge. But who could the villain be? Eric has some theories for you here at Nerdist.

Bloody Splotches. Do you know the real devil? You’re going to meet him in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of Go Nagai’s manga Devilman. The series, Devilman Crybaby, starts with a death spurred by discovering a mask while digging up the ruins of a Mayan temple. Does that ever end well? Debuting in spring 2018 around the world, Devilman Crybaby looks like some deliciously bloody anime. Will you be watching? [CBR]

Casting Heads-Up. If you’re keeping tabs on the cast of The CW’s Insatiable, then you should know Alyssa Milano has hopped on board. She’ll have a recurring role in the series. [TVLine]

Noir Time. Shudder, the streaming service backed by AMC Networks, has acquired streaming rights for seasons one and two of Jordskott. The thriller is a noir about the seven-year disappearance of a police investigator’s daughter. Season one will be available on Shudder on April 6. [Image: ITV Studios Global Entertainment]

Schedule Change. Saturday Night Live is closing out its fourth season with a different sort of schedule. The final four episodes, airing April 15, May 6, May 13, and May 20, will air live across time zones. So, the Eastern timezone will get the show at 11:30p.m. as usual, while those on Pacific time will get it at 8:30p.m. The episodes will be re-aired at 11:30p.m. in Pacific and Mountain timezones, but it’s something to note if you want to get your SNL fix as early as possible. Time Travel. Relive the weekend with a couple of TV recaps. You can get my take on the latest Star Wars Rebels and hear from Joseph about the newest The Walking Dead.

Have any theories about how season three of Star Wars Rebels will end? Tell me in the comments.
