While we’re excited to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 this week, we’re already lining up for the MCU’s rumble in Asgard later this year. Thor: Ragnarok is gonna bring the Norse gods to their knees when Hela comes to them. The Odinson may have a way to fight back with equal power, but at a devastating cost for the universe. Today’s Nerdist News is rolling out the proof that there are two Infinity Stones in play, and that we’re gonna get a battle to remember!
There are potentially spoilers ahead for Thor: Ragnarok. And we mean major spoilers, so consider yourselves warned!
Join host, and the wielder of LEGO Mjölnir, Jessica Chobot, as she unveils the shocking evidence that Thor himself will use an Infinity Stone in a climatic clash with Hela’s Power Stone. And believe it or not, this comes straight from the LEGO Thor: Ragnarok “Ultimate Battle for Asgard” playset, courtesy of The Brick Fan. Note that “Power Blast” Thor is doing things that he never could before, and those icy blue eyes of his are almost definitely a sign that the Odinson is using an Infinity Stone.
But which one? Why the Space Stone, of course! It’s the Infinity Stone inside of the Tesseract, where it has been safely hidden in Odin’s vault since the end of The Avengers. But if Thor had to crack up the Tesseract, we’re thinking that a certain Mad Titan would notice that. This movie could be more pivotal to Avengers: Infinity War than we were led to believe. And that may be something Thor and his “friend from work” aren’t able to handle on their own.
