Jeff Goldblum Has Tentacle Sex in This THOR: RAGNAROK Deleted Scene

Warning: This post contains spoilers from Thor: Ragnarok. Turn back now if you still haven’t seen it!

Thor: Ragnarok may be among the funniest Marvel movies to date, but not even director Taika Waititi could get every gag he wanted into the final film. With the digital release of Thor: Ragnarok just a few weeks away, a new deleted scene from the movie reveals a lost moment between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) that does a lot to cement the bond between the two without losing the comedic tone. But it’s the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) who walks away with this scene… even though he’s not really there!

Entertainment Weekly debuted this clip, which takes place on the Grandmaster’s pleasure ship after Thor and his friends escape from Sakaar through the Devil’s Anus. This was a rare moment for the story to breath and reflect, which may be why it was ultimately taken out. But your attention is bound to direct to a hologram of the Grandmaster making out with a pair of tentacles… which we can’t really explain. But we love it.

Considering that Banner had a very small role in Ragnarok compared to the Hulk, it’s unfortunate that this scene couldn’t have stayed in the movie. Banner’s pep talk for Thor is a pretty good one, and the final gag with Tessa Thompson‘s Valkyrie would have been worth keeping just for the shot of Thor’s face after she gets the last bite. Plus, can anything top this Jack Kirby-esque drawing of Goldblum’s Grandmaster in the background?

Thor: Ragnarok will be released digitally on February 20, with the Blu-ray and DVD to follow on March 6.
